An update on Erynn and I

Hi All

Sorry that its been a long time between posts. I really dont have a lot of time with working full time and looking after Erynn. By the time she is in bed at night and I have cleaned up from dinner I am stuffed and dont have anything left in me.

Anyhoo, Erynn recently had a Fairies day at daycare and my mum was fabulous enough to make her an outfit. I have the creative streak just not the paitience and staying power to actually complete it. My little fairy princess.......

The photos above were taken before Erynn had her haircut. The one below is Erynn and I at my lil sisters 21st birthday party on Friday night.

BJ was supposed to be home this coming weekend but as the Army does he is going to another place to work for an extra couple of weeks and wont return til the end of the month. A bit shitty about it all but not much that I can do about it but wait it out. Apparently he has done some shopping for me over there which is lovely but I plan on doing some damage myself to the credit card tomorow.

I have also resigned from my position at work. I have been in an admin assitant role since the start of the year and it really feels like a step back. I am an executive/personal assistant and thats what I want to do. The only way from me to find what I want is to move on from where I am. I have loved getting back there but ultimately its not what I want. Onward and upward.

OK so mummy and I have been so busy this week spending all the money that daddy is earning while overseas. Her is a couple of pictures of the castle mummy bought me AND she also assembled it. Yup she did.

Then there is the fabulous clothes that mummy keeps buying me. The shirt that I have on in these photos states "This is what gorgeous looks like". There is nothing wrong with a confident girlie girl.

Better get off the computer before mummy sees that I have updated for her - she can be sooooooo slack!!!

Well I am currently on a weeks leave from work and loving it. Although I must admit that on Tuesday afternoon I picked Erynn up from daycare ealry because I was bored and really missing her. Its been nice but am ready to go back to work.

My sister and I took the kids to the aquarium on monday and they had an absolute ball. Erynn absolutley loves fish and something that would take others maybe 20mins to walk through took us a couple of hours as she was having sooooooo much fun.

Anyway, am off to go shopping and spend BJ's hardly earnt money - hahahahahahahaha!!!!

You know your slipping when......

The clothes you threw on the floor at the back door are picked up by your 15 month old and carried down to your bedroom and put into the washing basket. Erynn was picking up after her mummy and it was so cute!!!!!

Anyhoo, I have been trying some new natural medicine on Erynn in the last few days and it seems to be working wanders. Erynn has had alot to deal with over the past month or two with her daddy heading overseas and her favourite carer at daycare resigning from her job. Add to that teething and I have one clingy grumpy little bubba. In comes Brauers calm and Teething Relief and she is a different little girl. She is back to her old self.

I will update again over the weekend with some new photos of Erynn and I over the weekend.

AHHHHHHHAAH Sleep Deprivation

I have certainly realised in the last few days why sleep deprivation is used as a method of torture. Erynn has been having a rough time the last few nights and I have been trying everything to make her more comfy. I had to take her for a drive at 12am this morning just to get her back to sleep. I hate it when its like this as I get all angry and frustrated and I dont want her seeing me like that. Must remember to pull out my dammit doll so that I can throw it against my bed when I get pissed off. I think that she may be getting a couple of new teeth but she wont let me see inside her mouth. My mum said that she thinks she saw her eye teeth trying to break through on sunday so that may account for this lovely form of torture. I really do love my little sweetpea but i have never been good with existing on little sleep.

BJ has been keeping in touch with phone calls which is great. Erynn loves hopping on the phone and chatting to her daddy. No, she will not have a mobile phone before she is 15yo. We have a corldess phone that sits on the bedside table and she usually grabs that one and has a play with it.

A long time between drinks

OK so I read all of your blogs and get all upset when you havent updated so why have I been so fricken lazy? I really can't blame it on motherhood, working fulltime or having a husband who likes to have me tied to the kitchen sink. It's been because anything that is not about me has been put first in the last 6 months.

Anyhoo, I think that an update is necessary. BJ, Erynn and I arrived back in Townsville in January after 12 months in lovely Wodonga. It certainly wasn't as bad as I thought it would be although it is much better being home and near my family. About 3 days after we arrived in Townsville, I received a phone call from a previous work colleague asking if I could come in and work as the lady who took over when I left broke her foot and they needed someone with an idea of what they are doing (Apparently, thats me). So I started working and BJ and Erynn had to move us into our house and set everything up as I couldnt be there. Erynn loves daycare and the ladies that look after her are fabulous. They help me a lot as BJ has been stationed in Kuwait since April so I am a single mummy until August sometime.

I really have to applaud single parents as it is definately not easy but watching Erynn grow up is wonderful. Yes I have been battling Post Natal Depression and the medication helps - otherwise called my non-bitch pills. Things have settled and Erynn and I are in a wonderful routine and we love spending time together. I actually ring daycare 3 times a day to check on her. I have included a few photos at the bottom of this post.
